Citizens can make their own seat belt decision

To the Editor:

Good old Billy Barlow wants to tighten up seat belt laws. With everything else that is going on right now in regards to International Paper, the economy, crime, education, loss of tax revenues, transportation, roads and unemployment, this is the best he can do?

In my opinion, seat belts save lives and should be worn by choice, not by legislation from an increasingly intrusive government.

Citizens in automobiles should be given the same rights in regards to safety as motorcycle riders, boaters, bicylists, skydivers, skateboarders and school bus riders.

Think about it.
