Retired Circuit Court Judge Ben Williams died Saturday at Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was 90.

Williams, a longtime resident of Courtland, had moved recently to the Village at Woods Edge in Franklin.

Before retiring, Williams served the Fifth Judicial Circuit, which encompasses Franklin, Southampton County, Isle of Wight County and Suffolk.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Courtland United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
