To the Editor:

Ponds in the area have all frozen over, making a tempting adventure for people, especially children.

Local schools should also stress to stay off any frozen body of water. When the temperatures moderate this week the ice will become particularly dangerous as it starts getting juicy. Franklin has had ice-related tragedies in the past. Let’s not have any in the future.
