COMING FRIDAY: Navy says bids to build OLF open to all

FRANKLIN—Officials with the U.S. Navy insist that construction bids to build an Outlying Landing Field would be open to any company that wants to bid on the project, would have a minimal impact on the host locality’s tax base, and that jobs at the proposed military facility would pay a decent wage.

Others, however, aren’t convinced.
