Richard R. Maund
SEBRELL— Richard “Dick” R. Maund 79, of Sebrell, VA departed this life Tuesday, December 1, 2009.
Mr. Maund was born August 29, 1930 in Charleroi, PA to the late Edward and Amelia Maund. He was a master craftsman, builder and photographer.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Myrtle “Mert” Maund, his sisters Elaine Yonkers and Marlene Anderson, brother Byron Peters, sons Mark Maund and wife Gail, Larry Maund and wife Bonnie, Richard E. Maund and wife Belinda, Todd Maund and wife Teri, stepson John Louk, stepdaughter Tina Withrow and husband Mark, grandsons the late Jason Maund and Dylan Maund, step-grandson Hunter Withrow, granddaughters Stephanie Dalton, Michelle Maund, Nicole Maund, Brittany Shinault, Cassidy Maund, step-granddaughters Adrian Louk and Krystal Louk, five great grandchildren, beloved friends Bob Koenig and wife Eileen, John Sipes and wife Holly, Ben Kitchen and wife Vivian, and B B Ricks .
Those who knew Dick were able to know a kind and gentle soul. He is remembered for his generosity, deep affections, and for his incomparable wit.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Antioch Baptist Church Social Hall in Yale, VA.
At Dick’s request, his remains are being cremated and will be privately interred by the family at a later time.
