William R. Harrell
JACKSON, N.C.—William Richard Harrell, 72, a resident of Courtland Health Center and formerly of Ridgecrest Lane, Jackson, died Nov. 13, 2009.
He was born in Bertie County on Dec. 20, 1936 to the late David and Alice Dempsy Harrell and was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Louise Harrell.
Mr. Harrell was a retired paper carrier for The Tidewater News in Franklin.
A graveside funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Edgewood Cemetery by the Rev. Steve Farmer.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, N.C.
Survivors include daughters, Judy H. Lewis of Franklin and Norma Jean Haney Windsor; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
