Addis E. Rice
BALTIMORE, Md.—Addis E. Rice, “Pie Rice,” died Nov. 12, 2009, at his residence.
A native of Southampton County (Capron), he was the son of the late Roberta Barrett Rice and Charlie W. Rice Sr.
Mr. Rice was preceded in death by his siblings, the Rev. Charlie W. Rice Jr., Henry Beamon Rice, Ruth Rice Smith, Roberta Rice Woodson and Linwood Rice.
He was a member of The City Temple of Baltimore (Baptist) Church where he served faithfully on the Usher’s Ministry.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanie Rice of Baltimore; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral was held Tuesday at The City Temple of Baltimore (Baptist) Church, Baltimore, with the Rev. Grady A. Yeagin Jr., pastor.
Interment followed in the Maryland National Memorial Park, Laurel, Md.
