To the Editor:

What happened to the days where if you passed a test with “flying colors” that you were rewarded for it? Or did that just always apply to places other than the City of Franklin?

Why would an intelligent, caring and dedicated officer not get a promotion that clearly was deserved? Ronnie McClenny has been a friend for many years and is a wonderful person and my family knows first-hand that he also is a wonderful police officer. I cannot fathom why anyone, including our city police chief would not see this as well?

I’m sure there are many explanations for Phil Hardison not promoting Ronnie, but what’s the real reason, and is the city just going to let this go without investigation? So many questions, you say? Let’s see who gets answers and then let’s see what gets swept under the rug. You may be surprised!
