He has words for IP CEO

To the Editor:

International Paper is doing what it does best: Buying mills and selling off all timberland and other assets then closing mills down. IP does not care for the employees as they are just a number to them. The CEO was lying through his teeth on a trip to Natchez, Miss.

A few years ago, IP had bought a mill there and was shutting it down. I retired in 2000 after IP bought Union Camp Corp. and it went downhill fast. Union Camp cared for its employees. The employees are the ones on paper machines or maintenance that make a company, not some CEO who makes too much money and won’t suffer losing their job as employees do. The CEO will probably get a several million dollars bonus.
