James Allen
MURFREESBORO, N.C.—James Allen, 81, died Oct. 31, 2009, at his residence.
He was a native of Nash County.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Powell Allen; two daughters, Joretta Harris of High Point, N.C. and Veronica Allen of Waldorf, Md.; a sister, Gladys Pittman of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
A funeral was to be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Haven Baptist Church with the Rev. Lloyd Gatling officiating.
Burial was to take place in the church cemetery.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, N.C., is handling the arrangements.
