SEDLEY—Mildred Turner Eubanks, 84, widow of Walter Leon Eubanks, died Nov. 4, 2009, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Southampton County, the daughter of the late Lemuel P. and Enora Gay Turner, and was predeceased by her brother, Clarence Edward Turner.
Mrs. Eubanks was a 37 year employee of Hassett’s Department Store and participated with the Clothes Closet through the Cooperative Ministry of Franklin for over 25 years.
She was a member of Sedley Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Jean E. Turner; three grandchildren, Don Bulls, Tisha Austin (Wayne) and Donna Story (Hunter); one great-grandchild, Reba Ricks; and two great-great-grandchildren, Destinee and A.J. Ricks.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Foreman officiating.
Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral and suggest memorials be made to Sedley Volunteer Fire Department, 18080 Johnsons Mill Road, Sedley, VA 23878.
