James C. DeBerry Jr.
RALEIGH, N.C.—James C. “Jamie” DeBerry Jr. of Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Southampton County, died Oct. 31, 2009.
He was born on Dec. 2, 1976, to James and Joyce DeBerry.
Mr. DeBerry was truly an entrepreneur. He was a loving and giving young man. No one was a stranger and he would give his last to help others.
Survivors include his wife, LeChelle; daughter, Jayla; son, Jonathan; stepson, Justin; a very special friend, Monica; his parents; two sisters, Jawanda and Janelle; one brother, Jeramie (Amy); half brother, Chris; grandparents, Rosco and Elizabeth DeBerry and Elsie Gary; a niece, Jada; two nephews, JaKarie and Jaden; a surrogate son, Andres; three step-grandsons, Justin Jr., Ja’vion and Kamarie and many other loving family and friends.
Service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, Boykins.
Viewing will be held today at Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., Franklin, from noon to 8 p.m.
On the day of service, his remains will be placed in church for viewing by 9:30 a.m.
