Otelia Thornton
NORFOLK—Otelia “Tee” Thornton, 87, died Oct. 30, 2009, at Autumn Care Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 12, 1922, in Holland.
Mrs. Thornton was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
She was a retired self-employed manicurist and seamstress.
She was predeceased by her husband, Amos Thornton; a sister, Alice Howell; and three brothers, Jobie, Alton and Benjamin Howell.
Survivors include one sister, Sarah Perry, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 120 W. Berkley Ave.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk.
