FRANKLIN—Gov. Tim Kaine is expected to visit International Paper Co.’s Franklin mill this afternoon to meet with local elected and community leaders and employees who will be affected by the planned closure of the mill.

The meeting will take place at 2:15 p.m. and it’s open to the public, according to Kaine spokesman Gordon Hickey.
