A 19-year-old Courtland man was arrested after an altercation that sent an 18-year-old man to the hospital with multiple stab wounds during the Southampton-Parkview high school football game Friday night.

Southampton County Detective Cpl. Richard Morris said Ivan Kristian Blow, of the 21000 block of Bateman Street, is charged with one count of malicious wounding and was being held in the Southampton County Jail without bond. The charge is a class 3 felony punishable by five to 20 years in prison.

Morris said the victim was transported to Southampton Memorial Hospital for treatment and was listed in stable condition.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. during the closing minutes of the football game at Southampton High School. It occurred within a fenced-in area just behind the east end zone of the football field. Morris said investigators recovered a knife from the scene.
