Be vigilant. But don’t be afraid.

On Sunday an elderly couple on Crescent Drive were the victims of a home invasion. The incident comes just days after a 41-year-old woman on College Drive was another victim of the same crime.

The good news is that the victims of these crimes are all OK. It’s not known if the two crimes are related, but investigators are looking for the individuals responsible.

Hopefully they will be apprehended soon.

Sorry to say, but usually incidents like these happen before law-abiding citizens begin the discussion of starting or participating in something like a neighborhood watch.

Let’s all make a collective effort to look out for each other and report anything amiss to the authorities.
