COLONIAL HEIGHTS—Willie Beale Jr., formerly of Franklin, died tragically Oct. 4, 2009, in Greenville, N.C.
The Southampton County native was born Feb. 11, 1956, to Elsie M. Beale and the late Willie Beale Sr.
Mr. Beale, a self-employed truck driver was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He attended the Southampton Public Schools and graduated from Southampton High School in 1975.
Survivors include three daughters, Nikita Beale, Keshia Beale, Kristina Beale; mother, Elsie M. Beale; two sisters, Barbara Hall, Sylvia Beale; one great-aunt, Annie Mae Hammond; one niece, one nephew, great nieces, cousins and many other relatives.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 11 a.m. today at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Franklin, with the Rev. Richard Johnson delivering the eulogy; Bishop Robert E. Duck is pastor.
Burial is in the church cemetery.
On the day of service, his remains will be placed in church for viewing by 10 a.m.
The family will assemble at the funeral home by 10 a.m. for the processional to church.
A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., Franklin.
