Organizers are calling the Franklin Fall Festival an “outstanding success.”

Nearly 1,400 people attended the block party Friday night to hear The TFC Band and The Entertainers perform, as well as see the fireworks display.

Saturday’s street festival, which offered food and refreshments, craft booths, clowns, entertainment, children’s games and activities, a car show and more, also was well attended.

“We had a steady flow of people on Main and Second streets all day long,” said Downtown Franklin Association Manager Dan Howe. “It’s hard to say, at this point, how many people were out there.

“The car show, I understand, went really well. Talking to a lot of the vendors, they did well, too. There was something for everyone.”

Howe said the sunny weather helped contribute to the festival’s success.

“Mother Nature was very kind to us,” he said.
