The Southampton High School varsity volleyball team upped its season record to 8-1 and 4-1 in the Southside District with a 25-23, 25-14, 25-19 victory over Nottoway this week.

For the Lady Indians, Megan Revelle had 7 kills, Marisa Cabell had 6 aces, 2 kills, and 1 block, Kendra Edwards had 20 assists, Regina Artis recorded 12 kills and 2 solo blocks, and Janie Young had 4 aces and 7 kills.

For Nottoway (3-8, 2-3), Healy Robertson led with 11 assists.

In JV action, Southampton remained undefeated at 9-0 with a 20-25, 25-20, 15-6 win over Nottoway.

Earlier in the week, Southampton defeated Parkview 25-10, 25-18, 26-24. Revelle had 12 kills and 3 digs and Edwards had 6 aces, 25 assists, and 3 digs to lead the Lady Indians.
