Tony L. Johnson
FRANKLIN—Tony Lee Johnson, 55, died Sept. 20, 2009, in his home after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Johnson was born in Suffolk on April 10, 1954 to the late Richard “Smiley” Johnson and the late Mary Alice Harrell.
Survivors include his lifelong companion, caretaker and best friend, June Bradshaw Blount; one daughter, Amy Denise Johnson; three very much loved grandchildren, Paul McCrary Jr., Zeke “Lee” Holland and Beau Peyton Holland, all of Franklin; four sisters, Christine Townes of Franklin, Joy Craddock of Courtland, Alaine King and Pamela Blume of North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
