Furley Yurbi scored on a 60-yard interception return, but it was not enough for Tidewater Academy to hold off Chincoteague in a 27-8 loss Friday night.

Yurbi also passed for 160 yards on the evening.

“We are getting better each week,” said David Rodgers, Tidewater’s first-year head coach. “We went from 0 points to 6 points to 8 points and have allowed fewer points each game.”

The Warriors (0-3) play at Fredericksburg Christian on Friday.
