COURTLAND—A Courtland man was killed Sunday night in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident.

Tyrone Clemons, 37, was driving a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle when he lost control and struck a telephone pole at the intersection of Routes 35 and 658 at about 7:45 p.m., according to State Police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Cotten. Clemons died at the scene.

Cotten said that speed was a factor in the crash.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at Apostolic Faith Church of God in Franklin.
