Alexander L. Chase
NEW YORK CITY—Alexander Lee Chase, 23, of New York City and Trumbull, Conn., died peacefully in his sleep, Aug. 9, at St. Luke’s Hospital, New York City.
He was born Feb. 26, 1986, in Chollanam-do, South Korea.
At five months of age he traveled to America to the waiting arms of his adoptive parents, Randy and Connie Chase.
Reared as an Army brat, he lived with his family in West Point, N.Y.; Newport, Rhode Island; Fayetteville, N.C.; and Babenhausen and Heidelberg, Germany, before settling in Trumbull.
A 2004 graduate of Trumbull High School, he also attended the St. Thomas More School in Oakdale, Conn., playing varsity hockey at both schools.
He was a member of Nichols United Methodist Church.
His engaging personality gained him the affection and devoted friendship of all he met. He was the beloved son of Colonel (Ret.) and Mrs. Randall D. Chase (Constance,) and brother of Gregory L. Chase.
He is also survived by grandfather Loren F. Chase of Coquille, Oregon; great-uncle John S. Lankford (Jerline) of Franklin; aunts and uncles Pamela C. McCormick (Phil) of Elkhorn, Nebraska; Rodnall D. Chase (Maria) of Miami, Fla.; Timothy C. Chase (Gwen) of Olympia, Wash.; Paul G. Lankford (Deborah) of Virginia Beach; James R. Lankford (Susan) of Cary, N.C.; Melody L. Worrell of Fort Myers, Fla.; and many cousins.
His mother is Connie Lankford Chase, formerly of Franklin, and the daughter of longtime Franklin residents, the late Mr. and Mrs. James P. Lankford Jr. (Tommie.)
Mullins Funeral Home of 399 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611, handled arrangements.
Burial was in Nichols Farm Cemetery.
