EL PASO, Texas—Constance Lowery Fowler, died Aug. 10, 2009, at her residence after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Sussex County on Aug. 29, 1941.
She was the daughter of the late James and Jessie Lowery.
She joined the Easter Baptist Church at an early age and remained there until she moved to El Paso.
She was married to the late Howard Bolling Sr. and was the mother to five stepchildren.
Years later she married the late Walter Fowler and she became the mother of two stepchildren, Linda Wilfred (caregiver) and Mark Fowler.
Survivors include three sisters, Marion Newsome, Mabel Butts of Waverly and Bessie Booth (Carol) of Stony Creek; four brothers, James Lowery Jr., Preston Lowery (Juliette), William Lowery (Gloria) of Waverly, Marvin Lowery (Peggie) of Petersburg; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, dear/devoted friends, Harvey and Mary Roberson of El Paso.
She was predeceased by a brother, Harold Lowery (Edna) of Petersburg.
The funeral service will be conducted at noon Saturday at Easter Baptist Church, Homeville, with the Rev. Dr. Eric Jones, pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow immediately in the Easter Baptist Church Cemetery.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 11:30 a.m.
