Mary D. McAllister
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—Mary Daisy McAllister died Aug. 1, 2009.
She was born Sept. 3, 1954 in Newsoms to Robert Edward and Lessie Mae Lyons.
Mrs. McAllister graduated from Southampton High School and attended Paul D. Camp Community College.
Survivors include her husband, Lavonne “Sonny” McAllister; daughter, Tamula Buck and Tara Buck; son, Lavonne Travis McAllister; stepdaughter, Letha Arthur; stepson, Gino Arthur; parents, Robert and Lessie Mae Lyons; sisters, Edna Rooks (Matthew), Roberta Felton (Eddie), Ollie Lyons, Helena Person (Reggie), Verylessie Little (Calvin); brothers, Robert E. Lyons Jr., Johnnie Lyons (Sheila), Samuel Lyons (Robin); grandson, Marquis Peterson; stepgrandson, Yuron; granddaughter, Dy-nashae; a dedicated and devoted best friend, Belinda Doles; uncles, aunts, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A viewing and visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc.
The committal and benediction will be held in Care Memorial Gardens, Courtland, immediately following the visitation.
