Raymond G. Turner Jr.
JACKSON, N.C.—Raymond G. Turner Jr., 57, of died Aug. 2, 2009, at his home.
He was the owner of Turner’s Garage and Wrecker Service, near Jackson, since 1973.
Mr. Turner was past president and past board member of the Independent Garage Owners Association.
He was past president of the Jackson Lions Club, where he had served for eight years.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Hale Turner; his father and mother, Raymond G. Turner Sr. and Clara Bell Johnson Turner of Jackson; a brother, Jack Turner of Newsoms; a son, Raymond Grays Turner III of Gaston, N.C.; daughters, Tonya S. Garner and Tammy A. Vick, both of Louisburg, N.C.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on today at Massey Funeral Home in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. with the Rev. Joe McLean officiating.
Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
