FRUITLAND PARK, Fla.—Jesse Edward Lee Jr., 79, died July 22, 2009, in Leesburg, Fla.
A native of Darlington, S.C., he was predeceased by his wife, Martha V. Lee; parents, Jesse E. Sr. and Leila James Lee; and brother, Stephen D. Lee.
Mr. Lee retired from the U.S. Navy with 30 years service and later worked at the Craney Island Navy security department in Portsmouth.
He was a member of the Police Association of Virginia.
Survivors include six children, Wanda Sanders of Middleburg, Fla., Mitchell Lee of Windsor, Donna Farsi of Virginia Beach, Deborah Franklin of Suffolk, Leila Gross of Chesapeake and Jennifer Huggins of Suffolk; devoted companion, Micki Tyndall and her children, Renee Gargiulo, Sherri Peele and Brian Wilkins; one sister, Sybil Murray of Goldsboro, N.C.; three brothers, Bobby Lee of Hartsville, S.C., Don Lee of Darlington and Jerry Lee and wife Diana of Roseville, Calif.; sister-in-law, Glennis Y. Lee of Lawton, Okla.; uncle, H.B. Tart of South Carolina; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors will be held Monday, July 27, at 11 a.m. in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Steven Byrum.
