Report shows shameful act by propane company

To the Editor:

The New York Times recently reported that AmeriGas propane company had several consumer class-action lawsuits filed against it for “secretly” under-filling 20-pound propane cylinders while continuing to charge for a full tank.

This company allegedly unjustly cheated customers because it filled more cylinders for less cost and required customers to purchase gas more frequently.

Furthermore, according to lawsuits, it did not disclose to customers that they were getting less fuel.

In my opinion this behavior is shameful and dishonest especially during increasingly difficult economic times.

If you are an AmeriGas customer do they really deserve your business?
