John Humphries Jr.
FRANKLIN—John K. “Pete” Humphries Jr., 48, died July 19, 2009, at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Humphries was born Jan. 28, 1961.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah A. Humphries; a daughter, Jennifer; four stepchildren, Dorothy, Linda, Patricia and Timothy; a mother, Margaret; a stepfather, Sidney Nelson; a sister, Sarah; three brothers, William, Robert and Floyd; and eight grandchildren, whom he loved very much.
He was predeceased by his father, John K. Humphries Sr.
He was a member of Suffolk Moose Lodge for seven years.
He served five years in the United States Army and was currently employed by Vico Construction.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at 725 Rosewell Ave., Chesapeake.
The family has entrusted J.T. Fisher Funeral Services, Chesapeake, to handle the final care arrangements.
