CHARLOTTESVILLE—Caroline Camp Sherman, 79, died July 20, 2009, at home after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born March 19, 1930, in Franklin, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh D. Camp.
Mrs. Sherman was educated at St. Mary’s School and Finch College in New York City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Failey Sherman.
She is survived by her children, Mary Motley Kalergis and husband David of Charlottesville, Hugh Camp Motley and wife Winkie of Keswick and J. Coleman Motley and wife Jessica of Park City, Utah; eight grandchildren, James and wife Susan, Hugh, David and Natasha Kalergis, Sheila Camp Motley, Caroline and Rosemary and Coleman Motley; and a great-granddaughter, Grayson Lacy Kalergis.
She also was especially close to a special stepson, Crawford Sherman of Parrot Cay, Turks and Caicos Islands.
The family also extends its special thanks to Mary Coleman for her love and care.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Episcopal Church in Keswick, with the Rev. Julie Norton officiating.
