Thanks to Franklin leaders for many positive changes to city

To the Editor:

In the busy rush of our daily lives, sometimes we move too fast to notice the subtle changes around us.

Slowly, bit by bit, downtown Franklin has undergone an amazing makeover. From the new boat launch, through Barrett’s Landing with its pavilion, landscaping, pier and benches; past the open arched beams of the new farmers’ market; to the railroad clock and benches at the restored depot; and along Main Street accented planters and street lights.

While it is always easy to find someone or something to complain about, this time our community leaders deserve acknowledgement for both their long-term vision and for the delivery of the improvements that have improved our downtown.

Thank you.
