Garfield Joyner III
SUFFOLK—Garfield “Boo Boo” Joyner III died June 16, 2009, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
He was predeceased by his parents, Garfield and Muriel Chambliss Joyner, and a brother, Tyrone Joyner.
Mr. Joyner attended St. Paul’s RZUA Church.
Survivors include four sisters, Muriel Robinson (Johnnie) of Columbus, Ga., Jeanette Hawkins (Alphonso) of Franklin, Adrienne Joyner –Scott (Tony) and Sade’ Joyner of Suffolk; two brothers, Calvin Joyner and Luther Joyner, both of Suffolk; and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives.
A funeral of triumph will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. Paul RZUA Church. Dr. Edward Foreman will officiate.
Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
Harris Funeral Home has been entrusted with the home going service.
