Mary C. Leone
FRANKLIN—Mary Cady Leone, 94, widow of Carroll McKenzie Leone, died June 11, 2009 at the East Pavilion. She was born in Milton, VT, grew up in New Hampshire, and moved to Courtland in 1975. Mrs. Leone was a daughter of the late Elizabeth Ayrton and Burton F. Cady and was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Magoon and two grandsons. She was a retired LPN and a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth McConner of Tuscon, AZ, and Frances Flythe of Courtland; three sons, Burton Leone of Littleton, N.C., Carroll M. Leone, Jr., of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia, and John Leone of Canterbury, NH; two sisters, Ellen Mercer of Sunapee, NH and Beatrice Haynes of Concord, MA; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 pm at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with the Rev. Edmund Pickup officiating. Interment will be in North Road Cemetery, Sunapee, New Hampshire at a later date.
