Norwood C. Sykes
FRANKLIN—Norwood Craven Sykes, 78, died June 5, 2009, at East Pavilion.
He was born in Franklin, a son of the late Dora Jones Sykes and Edward B. Sykes Sr.
Norwood was predeceased by a sister, Myrl S. Davidson, and three brothers, Edwards B. Sykes Jr., C.J. Sykes, and Buddy Sykes.
Mr. Sykes was retired as a floral designer with Kilby’s Florists and was the former manager of the “Town House” in Franklin.
He was an Army veteran and a member of High Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Mae Lynn and one brother, Tommy Sykes, both of Franklin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was conducted Sunday at Poplar Spring Cemetery.
