Norma J. Jones
WAVERLY—Norma Jean Jones, 53, died June 6, 2009.
Born Aug. 21, 1955, in Suffolk, she was the daughter of Fred C. and Phyllis Uzzell Jones.
She graduated from Sussex Central High School in 1973 and attended Faith Baptist Church in Waverly.
She was a cashier at King’s Barbeque in Petersburg for 12 years.
Survivors include her sisters, Theresa Lynn Bailey and her husband, Arnie, of Disputanta, Marie Inman and her husband, David, of Williamsburg; her nieces and nephews, William Hipes, Michael Smith, Laura Ann Krumm and Mindy Gentry; and a great-niece, Allison Ritley.
She was predeceased by her son, Micky Jones; and brother, Fred Earl Jones.
A funeral service was held Tuesday at the Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Wakefield with the Rev. Lewis Lawson and Raleigh Nunnally officiating.
Burial followed in Mill Swamp Cemetery in Ivor.
