Marjorie A.R. Ramsch
WAVERLY—Marjorie Alice Ricketts Ramsch, 72, died June 8, 2009.
Born in North Dakota on Dec. 5, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Barney Ricketts.
She was the widow of Fred E. Ramsch Sr.
Mrs. Ramsch had been a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church for 50 years and had attended Faith Community Church in Yale.
She was retired from Sussex II in 2001 as a GED program teacher. She received her masters degree in education from Virginia State University.
She is survived by a son, Fred E. Ramsch Jr. of Waverly; a daughter, Connie Ramsch of Claremont; four sisters, Mary Jarrett of Yale, Roberta Warf and husband, William, of Sussex, Harriet Gray of Manteo, N.C. and Myra DePanicis of Madison Heights, Mich.; two granddaughters, Joanna Lawhon and Angie Brown; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Wakefield, with the Revs. Lawrence Jarrett and Connie Gibbs-Morris officiating.
Burial will follow at High Hills Baptist Church Cemetery in Jarratt.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
