Ryan C. Snyder
WILLIAMSBURG—Ryan Chase Snyder, 23, died unexpectedly May 30, 2009, at his home.
Mr. Snyder was a former resident of Smithfield and a 12 year resident of Newport News before moving to James City County.
He was employed by his father with James River Enterprises as a landscaper. He took great pride in everything he did and was a hard worker.
In his spare time he was a video game enthusiast and enjoyed taking care of his aquarium and fish.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Snyder and Robert Johnson Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Shanda Bittick of Courtland; father, Richard Snyder of Rescue; sister, Madison Brooke Snyder; brother, Blake Hunter Snyder, both of Courtland; grandmothers, Betty Snyder of Newport News and Norma Johnson of Nags Head, N.C.; great grandmother, Pauline Brown of Newport News; three aunts; and two uncles.
The family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m. today at Peninsula Funeral Home.
Services will follow at 2:30 in Peninsula Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
