Lina T. Gatling
MURFREESBORO, N.C.—Lina T. Gatling, 78, died June 2, 2009, at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie, N.C.
She was a native of Hertford County, N.C.
Survivors include a son, Oris C. Gatling of Franklin; four daughters, the Rev. Shirley Johnson and Angela Gatling, both of Murfreesboro, Gloria Eure of Gatess, N.C. and Cynthia Stephenson of Durham, N.C.; two brothers, Lloyd Thomas and Whalon Thomas Jr., both of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Hazel Deloatch and Dennie Futrell, both of Murfreesboro; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at New Beginnings Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, with the Rev. Shirley Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Gatling Family Cemetery.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, N.C., is handling the arrangements.
