Joyce S. Sanderlin
FRANKLIN—Joyce Shine Sanderlin, 78, died June 1, 2009, in her home.
Mrs. Sanderlin was born in Arapahoe, N.C., the daughter of the late Joe Shine and Eula Broughton Shine.
Survivors include her husband, William Paul Sanderlin Jr. of Franklin; a son, William Paul Sanderlin III of Norfolk; three daughters, Wanda Young of Franklin, Jeri Broughton of Oriental, N.C., and Lisa Rybaczuk of Virginia Beach; a sister, Josie Bratcher of Arapahoe, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today from 7 until 8:30 p.m.
A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 10 a.m. in Arapahoe (Dawson’s Creek), near the Shine Cemetery.
