Laylor H. Bailey
NORFOLK—Laylor Hollomon Bailey, 86, died May 30, 2009, in Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center.
A native of Ahoskie, N.C., she was the widow of Franklin Powell Bailey Sr.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynda Cook and husband Michael of Courtland; a son, Joseph Lee “J. Lee” Bailey and friend Phyllis Lashus of Norfolk; a sister, Doris U. L’Heureux of California; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Franklin Powell Bailey Jr.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many and will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be conducted today at 1 p.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
