SUFFOLK—Chase Theodore Pope, 18, died May 30, 2009, following lifelong challenges.
He was a student at Lakeland High School and a member of First Baptist Church, Mahan Street, Suffolk.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Johnnie L. Pope, and maternal grandmother, Mildred D. Jackson.
Survivors include his loving and devoted mother, Theresa Jackson-Pope of Suffolk; brother, Johnny W. Pope II of Richmond; father, Johnny W. Pope of Buena Vista; loving and devoted grandparents, Alberta Pope of Franklin, Charles and Gloria Jean Jackson and Leon Finley, all of Suffolk; aunts, Sandrea F. Wilson (Arnold) of Woodbridge, Albetty Alexander (Don) of Piscataway, N.J., Muriel Myrick (Clarence) of Franklin and Sharon Vernon (Trent) of Beltsville, Md.; uncles, William Finley of Suffolk and Antonio Jackson (Jessica) of Middletown, Conn.; a wonderful caregiver, Lisa Moore; and a multitude of very special cousins and friends.
Homegoing services will be held today at noon at First Baptist Church in Suffolk, officiated by Dr. Steven G. Blunt.
Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home Inc. is handling arrangements.
