Parts of Franklin, Southampton County and Isle of Wight County are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 6:30 p.m.

A line of storms capable of producing quarter-size hail and winds of more than 60 mph is moving through the area, according to the National Weather Service.

All of southeast Virginia remains under a tornado watch until 9 p.m.
