Ruth Jay
PANORAMA CITY, Calif.—Ruth Jay died April 27, 2009.
She was born Oct. 21, 1911 in Montana.
Mrs. Jay served in the United States Women’s Army Corp in New Guinea, Australia and the Philippines during World War II. She and her husband moved to Franklin in 1946.
She and her daughters moved to California in August of 1955, but have remained close with dear friends in Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Jay.
Survivors include daughter, Bonnie Jay; nieces, Vicki (Bob) Planck and Shirley (Bernie) Fishgold.
A memorial service will be held May 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 5619 Lindley Ave. in Tarzana, Calif.
She was a very loving mother and aunt. She will be greatly missed.
