Bernice E. Harris
VIRGINIA BEACH—Bernice E. Harris, 65, died April 29, 2009, in Kindred Hospital, Richmond.
She was born July 13, 1943, in Capron, to the late Henry and Doris Wright.
Mrs. Harris received her education in the Chesapeake school system and was a Jehovah’s Witness.
Survivors include her husband, Joe T. Harris; her daughter, Dorothy Harris; four sons, Edward Wright, Demetrice Harris, Shawn Harris and Corey Harris; three sisters, Ellen Griffin, Sadie Turner and Marie Bulls; her brother, Henry Wright; and a host of grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2106 Salem Road, Virginia Beach, with Lawrence Knight presiding.
Interment will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Family and friends will assemble at 928 Truro Court, Virginia Beach, one hour prior to the service for the procession to the hall.
Viewing of the body will be Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Metropolitan Funeral Service, 120 W. Berkley Ave.
