To the Editor:

My mother passed away at home last week, so the rescue squad and two policemen came to the house to confirm there had been no foul play. The policemen, Cpl. Joseph Unser and Officer Adam Cornwell, stayed with me until friends came. I did not have to be alone. I thanked them but I don’t think they knew how much that meant to me. Kudos to the Franklin Police Department, and Chief Phil Hardison, for hiring caring and considerate personnel.
