Mamie E. Coston
SUFFOLK—Mamie Elsie Coston, 83, died April 20, 2009, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Leroy and Martha “Emma” Coston.
She retired as a domestic worker.
She was a member of Corinth Chapel United Church of Christ, where she was a member of its senior choir, usher board and women’s fellowship.
Survivors include one son, Linwood M. Coston; devoted nieces, Deborah Gaine, of Greensville, N.C., and Cheryl Sanford, of Hampton; cousins and a host of friends.
A funeral will be held at noon Saturday at Corinth Chapel United Church of Christ, Suffolk, officiated by the Rev. John T. Myer.
Interment will be in Corinth Chapel Church Cemetery.
