Newspaper delivery runs late

Mechanical problems with The Tidewater News’ printing press caused late delivery of Wednesday’s print edition.

“We appreciate our subscribers’ patience,” said Steve Stewart, the newspaper’s publisher. “All home-delivery routes will be completed by day’s end.”

The newspaper, which normally is printed at The Tidewater News’ offices on Armory Drive, had to be printed in Ahoskie, N.C., causing delayed delivery.

Stewart said he expects the press problem to be resolved and for normal delivery to resume with Friday’s edition.
