COMO, N.C.—Errol Durwood Miller Jr., 57, died April 19, 2009, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Durwood and Nina Miller and a sister, Nichole Miller.
A native of Dare County, N.C., he was a loving family man and retired from Dominion North Carolina Power after 34 years of service.
He loved being outdoors and was an avid hunter with memberships in several outdoor associations including the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 35 years, Nell DeLoatch Miller of their home; one daughter, Kristie Yevette Miller Burris and husband Christopher of Fort Mill, S.C.; one son, Charles Manie Miller Sr. and wife Aleca of Grandy, N.C.; four grandchildren, Gabriel Burris of Fort Mill, N.C. and Manie Jr., Sara, and Kendall Miller of Grandy; one sister, Carol Tolson of Dare County; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held today at 11 a.m. in his favorite location, County Farm, 150 County Farm Road, Como, N.C., with the Rev. Arthur Warren presiding.
The family will be receiving friends at their home for anyone wishing to come by.
