AHOSKIE, N.C.—Curtis Ann Harrell, 68, formerly of Lewiston, N.C., died April 16, 2009, at The Ahoskie House.
Mrs. Harrell was born September 4, 1944 in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Stanley Harrell and Carew Jernigan Harrell.
She was a licensed practical nurse and worked for many years at Bertie Memorial Hospital in Windsor, N.C. and the Albemarle Villa in Williamston, N.C.
She was a caregiver and friend to many neighbors, carrying them to doctor’s appointments and assisting them with buying groceries and other needs her neighbors would have.
Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Minutolo Williams and husband Lloyd “Hank” of Harrellsville, N.C.; her son, Steven Davis and wife April of Aulander, N.C.; her sisters, Alma Futrell of Murfreesboro, N.C. and Diane Peele of Colerain, N.C.; and four grandchildren, Ethan C. Williams, Joshua Williams, Brittney N. Davis and Kaylea M. Davis.
Graveside services were held Sunday at Hoggard Cemetery with the Rev. Wint Hale officiating.
Massey Funeral Home, Aulander, was in charge of arrangements.
