Charles Knowles Sr.
WINDSOR, N.C.—Charles Weslie Knowles Sr., 90, died April 17, 2009, at his home.
A native of Bertie County, N.C., he was a farmer and a member of Windsor United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nannie Manning Knowles of Windsor; daughter, Nancy Knowles Jernigan of Murfreesboro, N.C.; sons, Charles Weslie Knowles of Wanchese and Richard Lawrence Knowles of Murfreesboro; brother, Phillip S. Knowles of Elgin, Texas; sisters, Dorothy Thomson and Mable Cash, both of Norfolk; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Windsor, by the Rev. David Woolsey.
Burial followed at Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor.
Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, was in charge of arrangements.
